Donating online
We are developing a system so you will soon be able to donate online.
More details to follow.

Every penny donated helps to make a real difference to people’s lives. We depend on donations and legacies – we are a local charity serving local people. Whether you give £1 or £500 we welcome your support.
For more information, call 01924 21555
or email volcoord@wdsa.org.uk

Gift Aid - if you are a UK Taxpayer, complete the Gift Aid section to make your donation worth more.

How WDSA uses your donation - 90p of every £1 spent goes directly into helping visually impaired people in Wakefield.

In memoriam collections and donations – the thoughtfulness of past service users and their relatives & friends in remembering the support given by WDSA at such a sad time of loss is much appreciated. We thank you for this.

We now have our very own charity wristbands for sale – only £1 each – you can purchase one by calling in at the office.
A stylish new addition to your collection!

Ideas and input - we are looking for new ideas and for specific help to raise sustainable income for the charity - if you have skills in this area or suggestions, then please do get in touch. We would also welcome applications to become a Board member from someone with expertise in this specialist area.

Sponsorship – there are opportunities for local businesses and local people to support WDSA by contributing to some of our running costs – such as rent, marketing, leaflet production, office equipment and stationery. We will acknowledge any such contributions in both our quarterly newsletter and on this web site.

Donations - can be made by cash, cheque or postal order. Please make cheques and postal orders payable to “Wakefield District Sight Aid' or 'WDSA'. We do not advise cash donations to be sent by post.

Standing Order Mandate – why not donate on a regular monthly basis? No amount is too small - £2 or £3 a month soon adds up! Simply ring Bev at the office and ask for a Standing Order Mandate form.

Collecting Box - our blue boxes are perfect for collecting all that loose change at home, in shops or any local business. Our volunteers will deliver the box for you, collect it and count it in the office, under the supervision of a member of staff. An official receipt is always issued detailing the amount collected and every box has a tamper proof seal.

Gift Aid - if you are a UK Taxpayer, use Gift Aid to make your donation worth more. Ring the office for a Gift Aid declaration form, or tick the Gift Aid box on our donation and fund raising literature.
