yea i cant put an exhaust on it as its 50mm it would be to low and you cant put a 90deg bend on because it will carbon up and cause back pressure so wont fire properly but i have been thinking and i am going to raise the unit in the box by fitting spacers under it raising it up...so the bottom of the exhaust is a couple of mm sticking out..

.will have a play with it today.....

got about 13 inches under the box but the exhaust looks like it could be damaged if it gets a bang so think i am going to raise the unit on pads so the exhaust just pokes through the box about 1-2mm them if i do clout something its not going to damage the unit... ..see how it goes.....

ok had some time on the truck yesterday...I finished putting the new wiring in and rewired the interior lights also had a spare T MAX compressor so bolted that in the belly box and wired that in so i now have onboard air i might fit a small compressor tank in but thats more space i have to find and more weight..

.so might just stick with a long air line...
i moved the heater switch and mounted it under the seat locker so thats job done and it works very well.

then i built the box around the header tank so thats all safe now.. ...next job is to do the cab insulation keep watching this space... .

ok fitted all the sound insulation and fitted 2 seats from a smart car they a far more comfatable ...

and the insulation and heater..its warm and you can here yourself and hold a conversation...result....

Seems to take up a lot of space! In a 101", probably not much of a problem... what is the rated output of it?

That heater unit is 4.6kW Calum.

See this post HERE where I was considering importing a few - decided against the bigger one (the one tuggy has used) as it's just physically too big for those of us with smaller campers.

I'm in the final stages of negotiation for importing some of the 2kW kits though

well guys just an update on the heater.
we hade our first weekend away after the refit and the night heater was much needed as the friday and saturday nights were quite cold and wet i havent put the thermastat in line yet i wanted to try it on just the on-off switch as i thought it might be a bit noisey in the middle of the night if it kept switching on and off.....anyway when it was switched on it warmed up fast and really hot then there came a point where it got to warm so had to keep switching it off..

.so in conclusion yes its very good,its not to noisey as its in the insulated box ....it gets to warm if thats a bad thing..? would i buy one again...i dont think so i would go for an ebersparce or gas one......but i must admit we were nice and cozy......
