Hi guys, been looking for a night heater and came across this...

anybody seen or had anything to do with these i have the room to mount it under the truck in a belly box so might be a good option.

Now that is a good price!

The best I'd found Eberspachers for before was around £600 new for a discontinued model, but then of course you would have needed to add in a pump (around £80

) etc. so not really in the same league as this one.

I do like the fact that this one is self contained though, with its own fuel tank.

yea i like how it comes complete with fuel tank and ready to bolt in, it dosent come with exhaust or heater pipe and vent but you can pick them up for not a lot of money..

.so think i will get one and maybe do a blog on fitting it its getting cold now and i want to use the truck all winter...

Yep, I used mine last weekend when we were at the Newark show.

It dipped to freezing on a couple of nights - Steve had ice on the inside of his roof (his leisure battery is down so his Eberspacher wouldn't fire up

)

Then again, I only use mine for about half an hour or so while getting ready for bed, and stick my arm out of the sleeping bag in the morning to switch it on so it's warm when I get up 15 minutes later, so they're not really over-used.

Just put an Eberspacher in my Land Rover and all i can say is Wow. It works so well but is a hell of a lot of money but when you spend a lot of time out and about this in this country so worth it. I want to do Iceland and Nordkapp some time and do not want to be cold.

I'm fitting a Propex in the ambulance. I already have the propane for the cooker so may as well hook it in for heating.

In my daily driver it's going to be an ex-ambulance mikuni. As good as eberspacher but cheaper to locate :-D

Need the get my finger out and fit them!!

ok the deed is done.i phoned the guy up yesterday and had a nice chat with him he only had one left so i bought it...

.. just as well the next shipment isnt untill the end of december he was telling me they are flying of the shelf......so when i get it i will give it a run on the bench just to see how it performs...then i will start a little blog on fitting it.....

Why are you having problems are you having mine seems good only been in two weeks, hope it does not start being a pain.

Steve's problems aren't with his Eberspacher, but his leisure battery.

He's got a yellow-top, the same as Patrick & I have, but his seems to be faulty - the voltage drops under load and the Eberspacher won't fire up

Be aware that with this type of heater they do draw a hefty current to start with (up to 20A

) before dropping down to between 0.7A & 3A depending on fan speed, so you need a really good leisure battery, especially if you're staying in the same place and not starting the engine!
