From what i remember eberspachers are supposed to be serviced once a year and run on clean diesel so maybe me putting unwanted diesel in my eberspacher tank did not pay off as the gauge that surrounds the heater plug blocks up solid so the atomized fuel cannot pass through and ignite

Your views please on anything that you think can be done to help me without spending a fortune which i no longer have

My Eber runs off diesel from the main tank, so that's one way of ensuring fuel is 'cleanish', unless you never use the Landy

G'day my friend, regards running a fuel line from my tank it so happens at the moment i am running a standard petrol so my diesel tank was a British Anzarni outboard motor tank strapped to the back of my 109 but i realized this tank that came from my late fathers speed boat and was worth a fortune so rather than someone ripping it off it's mountains to sell on i replaced it with a lawn mower tank that just happened to have the same thread as a Matchless motor cycle fuel tap so that's what i used with filter attached to the tap as standard .

I think like petrol diesel goes off so on one occasion to clean the system out a little because at the moment it is a job to get at i mixed a drop of petrol with the diesel not advised really but i just wanted to clean it out a tad was my thoughts at the time anyway and i fired her up the pump cut in and she smoked then 4 massive bangs nearly giving some school girls walking past heart attacks as i hid behind the truck but after that she ran well so i stopped it letting it run down through it's cycle then drained the system and actually went and bought a gallon of new diesel.

After i returned and added new diesel she ran great so i left it running for the rest of the day cutting in and out at it's leisure while i worked in the back of the truck nice and toasty while the heat that had risen helped me lift up my roof a tad so i could fiber glass a part of the inner roof and work on my extractor fan that i fitted from a Citroen ambulance that not only sucks but blows which is great on a hot night in the summer or while you are having a snooze midday after or two.

PS. health issues can be a pain i know but there is always someone worse off who has not lived the live i have had so that makes me a very lucky person but i wish others less fortunate all the best and just try and think positive .

If you do get algae growth there are biocides that will take care of it.The growth is called MBG (Micro biological growth) and it occurs on the water/ fuel interface. Key is to prevent water ingress, this on larger tanks can be caused by condensation in the tank walls. Keep the tank full!

If it happens again, you could always use this stuff, which costs about a tenner, but will treat much more than you need, so if you run out of .....

G'day chaps, again asking for help but this time regards the computer and contacting someone in the proper manner ''as i tend to get tongue tied'' regards servicing and how to look after your heater along with a trouble shooting page or pages as the case may be .

While laying with my leg raised to ease the throbbing i remembered a good few years ago now i helped someone out and supplied them with an eberspacher i then remembered he down loaded i think a manual with all the information one would ever need to keep on top of his heater .

Since my big move manuals and the like are still packed some where safe so i don't really want to go digging for days in my attic through boxes and boxes when i have so much else to do just to get my 88 back on the road two days looking for two bolts that hold the steering box to the support for the bulkhead and i have not found them yet UNC an inch long maybe but tomorrow is another day and more boxes have yet to be looked into

Any help in finding some sort of information will be appreciated unless i come across my paper work first then of course i will share it with you all.
