As I sit on the Committee, I can tell you the Series 2 Club has in the past invited non-members to these events and there is nothing stopping this happening. If you want to go it shouldn't be a problem and if Robin doesn't get a satisfactory answer, let me know and I will sort it.

Sorry for S2C hijack, but is it not a Yorkshire meet? Why is Karin running it, Lowe-boy

No, it's a spin-off from the Coast 2 Coast, which Karin organises

Finally got this worked out - the original post on the Series 2 Club website was by Avril, alflandy, promoting a Yorkshire S2 Laning Weekend which was nothing to do with our Yorkshire AO rep Gordon, but is being organised by Series 2 club member John (gritstoner), details from Karin AO North West - great, hope to be there.

A great, if cold, weekend

Some of us joined the S2C NW area for this laning weekend.

Thanks to the S2C NW group, especially Karin Quarrie and John Cramphorn.

There were some exciting events, including someone who didn't know what the red lever was for :thud: someone overheating due to his electric fan blowing the wrong way :stars: and someone's FWH disengaging constantly which meant he was in 2WD for most of the slippery stuff (not mentioning any names, Steve  )

The Forward Control of John Cramphorn ploughed the way through the snow drifts over some of the lanes, though one of those was too deep even for the FC, so we had to back-track, which meant we arrived back at Skipton well after dark.

As usual, I forgot my camera, so here's a selection from Saturday pinched from Patrick's collection :tiphat:

There are some more from Saturday on Patrick's photobook HERE including a dark video of Steve's 2WD Carawagon being pulled through the snow by the 101 before we abandoned that lane :embarassed:

I'm sure Steve will add some photos from our overnight camp - just me and Steve braved the night on an exposed moor top, though at least my Eberspacher was working and I had gas for the stove, unlike someone else who had neither working and who slept in an unheated Carawagon :thud:
Perhaps the snow covering his Carawagon acted as an insulator

More to follow, I'm sure.

Cheers,
Robin.

Looks like a cold fun filled weekend Robin, reminds me of a few trips we did in Wales in the good old days

Funnily enough, we had a 33 degrees hot and humid weekend :cactus: as it was too hot to do anything constructive I enjoyed the Formula One weekend. At least the rain has stopped at last.
