P.S. Does anyone know why the older roof has 4 large holes drilled in each corner of the bendy section? The later one does not have them.
The holes are for the elastic rope which pulls the sides together when putting the roof up.

The later roofs had the elastic in the wooden side sections, near the top (as far as I remember).

Cheers,
Robin.

Thank you Robin,

Yes my later roof has the holes in the plywood where the elastic goes through and x4 aluminium 'U' shaped brackets which clamp the elastic.

Hi Karl,

Did you manage to sort out the wooden sections for your carawagon?

I am getting very close to getting my 1975 carawagon roof finished and then will be starting the early roof which is the same as yours,
let me know if you need templates.

Regards Christine
