June camp, Yorkshire Dales.

Post by RMS » Tue May 19, 2015 5:24 pm

We're planning a camp for the weekend 6/7th June at this location:

Image

It is a wild camp with no facilities so you'll need to bring a portapotti or shovel.

Not really suitable for caravans as the ground can get boggy - it's a sheep/hay field, not a campsite, and if we leave muddy furrows we might be banned from our favourite wild camp location :thud:

It's probably best to bring enough water for the weekend, just in case there's a dead sheep upstream in the water supply!

There will be loose sheep, so if you bring a dog it must be kept on a lead.

Cost is £3.00 (or might be £3.50 this year, I can't remember :embarassed: ) a night.

If anyone wants to join us, please PM for further details.

Cheers,
Robin.

Hi all

Now't on the Calendar, but SWMBO is in bed, so cannot confirm at this moment, but would like to come and catch up.

Will update when I know what is planned.

I've just remembered that Dave (as in Big Dave) was going to have a gathering at his place - no date set, but 6-7th June was a possibility (HERE ) :embarassed:

I've emailed Dave in case he doesn't pick up here to find out if he'd decided on a date.

So, it could be a gathering at Dave's, or a weekend in the Dales.

Cheers,
Robin.

Hi Robin.

Been meaning to contact Dave with regard to the 'dead duck'? But been busy with work and getting Barney back on the road for this half term.

Anybody spoken with him?

Yep, just had a reply - he hadn't sorted anything out for his gathering, so is happy for us to go ahead with this one.

Cheers,
Robin.
