LR Spring Adventure, Ripley Castle, 23-24th May

Post by RMS » Thu May 07, 2015 2:19 pm

For 2015, Live Promotions are only offering 5 free passes to each club for their stand, and only 5 vehicles would be allowed on each stand!
In previous years, as well as the 8 free passes, we were allowed to purchase additional places for the stand at a much reduced rate - that is no longer possible.

Their idea is to make the stands smaller to allow more clubs to attend.

As suggested in the 2015 shows listing post, I have had 5 PM requests for the stand, so the stand is now full.

There is a reserve list, so if you still want a chance to come, please PM me.

Of course, you can still attend as a paid camper - see HERE for details.

Cheers,
Robin.

Just received an email from Live Promotions offering discounted day tickets to club members (or, I suppose, anyone who reads this  ) - £9.00 for an adult instead of £11.00 :tiphat:

So, if you're not on a club stand, or camping, and just want to visit for the day, click HERE

Cheers,
Robin.

Just got back - another enjoyable show, meeting old friends and new, and some good firepit action

The show was smaller than previous years - not that many trade stands and a pretty poor autojumble selection :thud:

Never mind - we really only go for the firepit action

We had 4 Carawagons on the stand (Trev's, Steve's, Patrick's and mine) along with Neil's 109" converted camper and Mark's converted ambulance.

Les came down for the day on Saturday with his stripped out Dormobile, and we managed to get him through security on to the stand as well, just for the day

After Les left on Saturday evening, his stand place was taken by Lizzybus with Jayne and David who joined us around the firepit, telling tales of their 5 year, 7 continent trip in their 130 Defender - see HERE

All in all, a nice, relaxing show

Cheers,
Robin.

Aha! In that case it was Neil who showed us around his 109 camper! :gold:

Many thanks for the guided tour Neil, and for your warm welcome - it really got us thinking about our 109. You really didn't have to turf out half your contents to show us your mods, but we're grateful that you did! No doubt we'll meet again at one of the shows - many thanks, and all the best Sam & Lynda
