It looks like I've done a deal with my 1969 Carawagon. I've had a trade in of a 1974 Carawagon  , so it;s "in with the new". Well new....er. Pics to follow, although I seem to be struggling to down load any at the moment.

Looks nice - original wooden roof rack as well

What's the interior like? Any pics? Just wondering if it was all Searle's work as those side windows look like after-market ones

So what happened to your old one - was that taken in part exchange?

Cheers,
Robin.

I've enjoyed having one, and ended up with another but that too is now up for sale since it passed its test this morning. I've things to do or things I'd like to do and something has to go. I started to sort things out on this one but stopped myself before its too late.

Hi Fletch,

About a year ago I seem to remember that your first outing in the white Carawagon was not a resounding success and yet you traded that one, not for a caravan but for another Carawagon which in turn is up for grabs - so why was that then?

I've driven 4 Carawagons on long trips - one to Senegal and Mali, one to Southern Algeria and one to Morocco, the fourth was a V8 and didn't go very far! But usually with a maximum of two people in them; on the one occasion that there were 3 in it, I was feeling murderous and suicidal at the same time and learnt my lesson, never again :aaagh:

cheers
