Just a quick query concerning the above pic, were some series vehicles fitted with deeper sill sections than others ?? Was it a series 2 / 3 change ?? The sills in this pic look much deeper than the ones fitted to my dormobile :?
I must say I prefer the deeper variety

Series 2's up until about '69 and I think 5 door Station wagons up until about '65 (I may be wrong on the SW though) had what is known as deep sills, then from then on until the end of Series 3 and I think now Defender they have shallow sills. I did know the depths off the top of my head, but I cannot recall definately I think the deep are 5" and the shallow are 3".jerryd wrote:Looks great to me too 8-)

BTW Dave, nice truck you inspired me to get a Carawagon (Even if mine is a shortie ), I parked next to you in the 60 year line up at Driffield (Red 109" to your right!).
