Thanks for posting that Mark - I'd missed it!
As I've just posted over there, if I didn't have too many Carawagons I'd be very tempted by this
Looks like a great project - shouldn't be a lot to do as it's already on a galv chassis.
Last used 3 years ago - that's nothing for a 44 year old vehicle - check the brakes and drive it away to an MOT station
Cheers,
Robin.

Well I am sure the vehicle is only needing fettling. Whilst galv is not a universal panacea as my research is finding out, overall the vehicle looks very good. I hope it finds a caring & loving owner.
If I was still in the market then I too would be very interested. The wife would not tolerate having 2 Dormobiles hence no bid from me (regrettably)
There was a member / visitor asking about prices recently - perhaps worthy of a PM to flag it to him.
Rare as hens teeth as it looks intact...
Kindest regards
Marl

Hi all
From the pictures on the Series 2 Club it looks complete apart from the wing badges. Interesting that it has Elephant hide seats and no door on the spice cabinet. On H reg I would have expected to see black seat frames and black fabric, but I am still learning about Dormobiles and this vehicle could have been one of the last built with the white frames and grey fabric.
The reg indicates it was registered in Maidstone as per normal for a production run Dormobile. Shame it has lost it's wing bardges and Series spare wheel carrier on the rear door!
Will make someone a great truck.
Mick

He's looking £5500.
For a sixpot, not running could be an expensive punt, whats the collective thoughts?

Graeme,
I have spoken to him, it is running as it was a replacement engine. However, the question is why has he no bothered to MOT it. I believe he gas put that figure as a starting point, there is wiggle room an at say £4.5k you couldn't lose.

That looks like a really good buy, especially having a galvanised chassis and a winch thrown in too

Somebody should buy it before it goes overseas
Good job it's not in Australia

I am going to look at this one at the weekend, what are the main things I need to look for dormobile wise that raise the price above a standard LWB
I have been interested in a camper for a while and have owned the same series 2 swb for approx 15 years, maybe time for a change
Thanks Kevin
