Myself and several other Leafer owners are headed off to Shell Island (Between Barmouth and Harlech) for a spot of leafering,Laning,BBQing,Drinking,Talking rubbish, fishing, walking and possibly a spot of mine exploring .

Anyone else in a leafer fancy joining us you would be most welcome ????

Shell Island is probably as close to wild camping WITH facilities as you will probably ever get ...

Timing just wrong for us. :thud:

SWMBO and I will be staying in Llanbedr for a week in early in Oct. There has been some discussion about whether we will go in the eurobox or on the m/c, but never thought of the l/r !

Shell Island will be on our list of visits.
Have a good time.
Wish we could join you.
Ian

Definitely take the time to visit Shell Island (you can walk over as there is a public footpath that runs parallel with the causeway so avoid paying ;-) )

The blue lake (Disused slate mine over at Fairbourne ) is well worth a visit ...or the ROC (Royal observer corps) look out post just at the back of the last layby as you come into llanbedr fom Barmouth ...

etc etc etc I've only been going there for 40 years :embarassed: (In fact my love of series landrovers stems from sitting an abandoned pair at the back of the shower block when my mum and dad used to take me )

It's one on my list of 'must go to' Landy trips as well, though I'll be returning from Scotland that weekend so can't join you this time :thud:

That, and Strata Florida - perhaps do that and end up at Shell Island some time?

Have a great time - hope the wind is kind to you

Cheers,
Robin.

Well we went,we saw,we burnt and drank .....Sadly I was without a leafer of any kind as the 19j in the station wagon gave up barely a mile from home .....

However the rest of folks seemed to make the most of it .....
