Hi John
Price war has started and just been quoted £200 + commission. Starting to worry it is getting too cheap?

Re: LR Classic Camper Rescue
I told you it would come down the second day Mick - you just have to wait for the small independents to get back from their current jobs and log on
As long as they have insurance to cover your vehicle, I wouldn't worry about it being cheap - it's not that any are going to be towing it on an A frame or anything, they 'should' all be professional, I would hope.
I went with the cheapest to collect Rex from Milton Keyes 3 years ago, turned out to be a very nice chap and his wife (for company) in a Jeep! towing a Dixon Bates low profile (3 axle) trailer. Very friendly, and doing it because he enjoyed travelling around the country, rather than viewing it as a chore
Cheers,
Robin.

Hi Alex
Landy being collected at 7.00am tomorrow. Tony travels to France and Spain every month with kit cars to a dealer in Limoges and ex-pats cars to Spain. He's from Barnsley, so I'm paying his diesel home. He would be a good chap for Drew to knows as he passes every month?
When it lands, I will post some pictures.
Cheers Mick

Re: LR Classic Camper Rescue
That's great news Mick - so much easier (and cheaper!) than collecting yourself
Was that through Shipley, or another contact.
Is it worth mentioning him in our 'Supplier's' list?
Looking forward to the pictures tonight
Cheers,
Robin.

Re: LR Classic Camper Rescue
Hi all
Pictures as promised.
Being a 1967 blows the original prototype idea out of the water unless it has been rechassised? She arrived late this afternoon, so not had much time to have a proper look at everything.
What I have seen so far is the roof lining is a work of art. It has the Carawagon gas bottle holder underneath, pull out rear awning rail, bunk frames look normal Carawagon. It was fitted with a fridge on the O/S. No sign of cooker on back door, but gas pipes came through floor on N/S and there are signs there was a cooker unit Dormobile style and in the same place as a Dormobile.
Rear wheel arches are cut out behind the wheels carawagon style and She is cut out in front of the wheels to allow rear seats to be fitted. This is a 3 door 4 birth Carawagon! Not many of them about? Shame all the interior is lost
Will have a better look tomorrow.
Cheers Mick
