Anyone seen a triangular Carawagon badge?
Someone on facebook spotted this badge on his travels:
Could it be a very early one, perhaps Park Ranger or one of Searle's prototypes?
I've asked him if he took a picture of the whole vehicle - waiting for a reply.
I've looked back through all the brochures we've got, but couldn't find anything with this badge
Cheers,
Robin.

Re: Anyone seen a triangular Carawagon badge?
I sent Frans a message to ask if he minds - he hasn't got back to me yet so just linked that one until he gave me permission.
After all, they are his pictures which he shared on your group, so thought I would get his permission for the rest
Of course, you can link to them from here if you want - it's your group so your rules
Cheers,
Robin.

Re: Anyone seen a triangular Carawagon badge?
I'm sure that style of badge was used from around the mid 70's, I refer to that one as the upside down triangle version.
There's an example on this from around 1976:
As opposed to the 'flat globe' style one as shown in this leaflet from around 1973:
Then there's the one's that we all know, which even though I think it is the earliest style badge, I also think it is the most common, so to speak:
it is the earliest style

Just saw this, from 1968, you can see the flat globe on the headed paper:
Re: Anyone seen a triangular Carawagon badge?
Will see what my paperwork says when I finally get hold of it, as I bet in 1967 it was still the earlier style (non-globe) badge - the vehicle itself certainly has the earlier style badging.
I have an original A3 poster/advert of the Model 80 from the mid-late 70s which shows the triangular badge - it even has go faster stripes to match! The one on Facebook is the first one I have seen that is a 'raised' triangle badge, however.
"Count your rivets!"
EDIT: for the sake of completeness, even later still they seemed to use CARAWAGON lettering as the logo, which was used up until the end as far as I know

Re: Anyone seen a triangular Carawagon badge?
I have this badge on my 1975 carawagon. When I get chance I will post a photo. It also has another badge which has turned black, anyone know what that one would have looked like?

In fact on closer inspection I think it is a photo of my landrover!
