LPG landrover question

Post by chippit » Fri Mar 14, 2014 9:44 pm

Hi,
Just wondered if anyone knows if LPG powered vehicles can go on ferries. I am thinking of taking my LPG powered carawagon to the Hebrades, the LPG conversion was done a long time ago by the previous owner but I have no paperwork.
It has a range of 290 miles (2x50ltr tanks under the body) Also is it OK to carry a gas cylinder for the cooker?

regards Christine

I think it should be allright. I know that the Eurotunnel is a no no for LPG converted cars, but you can still bring cooking gas cilinders in the car. I've done that a few times now. So I think it would be ok as well on the ferries. But maybe best to check local policies?

Think CalMac are OK with lpg, but they really don't like jerry cans.
