how many?
how many?
Now I know that the numbers of Dormobiles is open to conjecture - anywhere from 300 - 900 I have read, but does anyone have a clue as to how many series 3 6 pots were built (at all) and as Dormobiles?

Re: how many?
Hi Alex,
I can answer part of your question;
There were 4 Series 3 Left Hand Drive Export Chassis 2.6 6 Cyl Dormobiles produced and 89 Right hand Drive Export Chassis 2.6 6 Cyl Dormobiles.
Total Land Rover Dormobile production was 729 Series 2 & 2A and 93 Series 3.
I can break this data down further if anyone is interested and must add the caveat that these figures are to the best of my knowledge from a variety of research sources, primarily the original Land Rover factory records (I spent an interesting 3 days in the Gaydon Reading Room a few years ago) listing despatches to Martin Walter Ltd. As you will be aware the Dormobile Factory records were destroyed/lost when Martin Walter went out of business.
Kind regards
Phil

Re: how many?
Thanks Phil
I am pretty certain that I haven't let you know my serial number of the 2a. I will pm you it in due course. (I believe you are keeping a register of sorts?)
regards
Alex

Hi Phil. I hope you're keeping well. It would be interesting to know if my old 2A Dormobile is in your records.
