dormobile serial numbers

Do any of you know if their is a way of descripting the serial numbers ? My Walter martin plate is as follows( u 78360.) Thanks.

Thanks just been looking at that, yours will be a 4 berth 76 then ( am I right?) . Do you have any pics available? Just bought mine and its in a sorry state .

There are a few pics of mine scattered around the forum, it is a '76 model and is the last Land Rover converted by Martin Walter according to it's previous owner. It has a wonderful history and has even been involved in a murder mystery
I'm currently doing a rolling restoration on it and will shortly start a turbo diesel engine transplant

What are them funny things on the front? Oh,,,,, their wings and a bonnet,, must get them for mine!!!!! I'll post some pics as soon as I learn how to.
