Newbie from sutherland

Post by gorbachev » Tue Jun 18, 2013 5:33 pm

Hello to all
Love the site, thanks for the invite Robin. I have a '68 Dormobile which is in bits, her reg. is CSU 892F. I am rebuilding her using a 200di engine and salisbury axle but other than that she'll be original.
cheers

Nice one - thanks for joining

Don't forget pictures when you can, even if it's only pictures of bits

Cheers,
Robin.

Hilda as found, chassis halved in two at the bulk-head, floors rotten etc. but complete, I'll see if I can dig up anymore.

Hello Alec, I'm on a croft above Bonar Bridge. Love your ambulance, did
she live in Lairg at any point?

Nice scenic place!
Nope, it's always been based up here although I travel through Lairg a lot on my way south/west. The A9 is an unforgiving road to old Landies at the best of times! :shakehead:

Hope we meet on our travels sometime, I've never seen a Dormobile in the flesh, just a Carawagon.

I remember one being for sale in Lairg a few years ago. I shall keep my eye out for you on the road.
