Door seal Rivets and front dormatic seat

Can anybody point me in the direction of the correct rivets for fitting the door seals? I seem to still have the original set with a dome head on one side so they are flat against the seals, I have new seals I need to fit and don't want to use pop rivets.

Can someone also post pictures of a drivers Dormatic seat in the flat position, my replacement is a bit seized up and I would like to see pictorially where it bends!!?

Thanks

Yeah, I saw that but it didn't quite show what I wanted.. I am specifically interested in the metal brackets (hinges) either side of the drivers seat and how they work in the two positions?

Give them a good squirt of 3 in 1, they will pivot(rotate) forwards and upwards when you pull the rod on the side towards you as the seat back folds backwards.....as far as I remember.

Alex cheers, that would be useful.

Graeme, I am scratching my head, I can pull the lever and fold the seat back forwards, just haven't figured out the flattening bit yet?? I moved it into the garage for safe keeping yesterday (whilst awaiting re-upholstery quote) so will oil it up next week and try again.

Sorry Dan not done it yet
the seat I have inside is the passenger single seat and part of the mechanism the bit you lift with the rod, is missing.
I can take a pic with it flat - and will do - but no guarantee of eureka moments.

No worries Alex, whenever suits... I just can't visualise how it sits flat with the metal bits either side?? Also mate, could you email me your upholsterer as a backup? I have a local firm pricing it, but if it ends up Über expensive would be worth the drive to yours..

Dan,
Not sure if it is of any use, Exmoor trim I believe make trim kits for Dormobile Land Rovers. Check on their website.
Cheers Andy :tiphat:

Dan,

If you are still looking for rivets, check Ike's site at:

http://www.pangolin4x4.com/series-land- ... -fittings/

He has bifurcated rivets - not cheap but they look the part.
