EASTER CAMPING WEEKEND

Post by lowebox » Mon Feb 04, 2013 6:30 pm

I am arranging a camping weekend for Series 2 Club members over the Easter Bank Holidays in the Yorkshire Moors. Abbot's House Farm campsite is in the village of Goathland behind the pub!

The farm campsite is in a great location close to the N.Y.M.R (steam line), Whitby , Pickering and lots of the green lanes and wet roads that we drove on the Coast-to-Coast are close by too.

The site welcomes tents, caravans and mobile homes at the price of £8 per adult, £4 per child, per night. If we can interest 15+, then we can have a private field at the reduced rate of £5 per adult, £2.50 per child per night. Although very basic, this is a well managed site which also offers bunkhouse barn accommodation at £20 per person, per night on Bank Holidays.

We do not need to pre-book any pitches, but if you could let me know if you are interested in coming that would be great.
All the best, Gordon

Apologies From Me and the camp site owner
The tariff has gone up since I talked to him in January to £10. per person per night. The Rally field is still available at £5 PPPN if we get 15+ vehicles which we don't currently have. There are 11 confirmed, 2 maybe's, we can't add those who have booked electric as it is in a different part of the site.
Sorry for late change , Gordon.
PS I will be there from Thursday lunch as you are not allowed on site before 12 oclock what ever day you come and have to be off site before 12 on the day you leave

Gordon has just confirmed that we would welcome non-S2C members at this event as well.

So, if you want to come along, just post on here and we'll PM details to you.

Cheers,
Robin.

As confirmed on S2C, I'm a definate and as far as I know, so is Patrick.

Either two Carawagons or a Carawagon and folding caravan (if Susan decided to come). Either way, it will be two units on the rally field - if we do take the 'van, we're not nesh enough to need a hook up :gold:

Cheers,
Robin.

Snow is a wonderful insulator, providing you have the initial heat to insulate of course.
