Searle patents - he was a busy man!

Post by RMS » Sun Jan 13, 2013 12:03 pm

With a prompting from Callum, I have been looking at known patents made by R J Searle.

It's not a complete list, but here are the interesting ones for us Carawagon buffs

Roof

Seats

Water Heating

Here's an index of his patents - he had interests ranging from bicycles to Gyrating Piston Machines (oooerr!) and even a toll charging system (boo!).

Full list (possibly) HERE

Oh, and just a reminder, the rights to Carawagon and probably these patents are now owned by the company which also owns the rights to Dormobile, so be careful what you copy

Enjoy
1967 109" Carawagon 200TDi
1972 109" SW Carawagon 2.5NA
1958 109" Carawagon 2.25P (project)
1972 109" Carawagon 200 or 300TDi (project)
1974 Dormobile 2.25D (project)

The water heater is a pretty standard idea and would be ideal for hand washing etc!
Drinking water, and it's potentially a fun-sized legionella-generator!! :aaagh:
