Yep, will do if we can arrange a meet.

My cousin, who we are staying with, seems to have planned something most days and we're only here 5 days, leaving for Hobart on the 25th :stars:

However, we have a rental - a boring Hyundai Elantra ... zzzzzzzzzzz so could probably get away from 'family' things for a while

Cheers,
Robin.

Hi Phillip - boring old coils :thud:

It's nice enough, but a 1.8 engine behind a slow slushbox doesn't make for exciting driving :stars:

It does have a preselect option on the stick so you can use it like a tiptronic box tapping the stick forwards for up and back for down, but then it jerks through the gears unless you back right off the throttle so it's easier to leave it in auto and let it try to sort itself out, which it does eventually!

Big boot though - it swallowed our two large cases, a big holdall and our two cabin bags at the airport

I'm missing my Land Rovers though, so hopefully can meet up with Jock for a fix

We missed out on loads of Landy pictures in Malaysia - driving through the Cameron Highlands, a big veg, strawberry and tea growing area, I saw dozens of S2s & S3s, mostly modified with girder bumpers, all proper working vehicles! However, it was night time, dark, raining, and we were in the back of a BMW 2 door coupe with small rear windows and in a hurry so no chance to stop

Did manage to snap a working S1 though:
