We like to prove to all the newer vehicle owners and doubters that Series vehicles CAN go 10,000ft up the side of a mountain WITHOUT all the latest gismos and gadgets, and that wild camping WITHOUT electric hook up is the way to do it.

The 88 is the only "modern" truck with a 200tdi in it, the Limestone and Sand have 2 and 1/4 's and the Green one is a 6 pot

Nice dog but if i had 2 of them they would have to have to stay at home

Nice scenery!
Back in the 80s when the Italians invited the english to join them for a weekends offroad, we went with 9 others to the first and were so pleased with the trip we did it for ten years. We took the 65 2.1/4 petrol dormobile and brought home the cup the first two years! (Could have been for longest distance travelled!). On the way home we did a different alpine pass each year. Except for one going to western france I can say my Dormobile and I have done them all, and the result was that when the chance came I moved here. If you get the chance (and can afford the petrol) try it. The Dormobile is still with me (just having a 200tdi fitted) after 30 plus years so I guess i will be buried in it!>Happy days.

Would that be the Italian National ? we are members of the Aosta Valley club, where abouts are you? we are based in Salbertand near Susa for the summer and West sussex in the winter although we'd like to be in Susa full time.

The "K" reg is not really a "K" reg , its a Swiss truck which we just stuck the "K" plate on for the photo to confuse someone on another forum
we have another 3 109's now which i dont have any recent pics of.

She is the replacement for ED , and will become a Hard top with custom soft top sides , a kitchen area behind the passeagers seat and a fold down bed behind the drivers side.
I know it sounds weird but watch this space :tiphat:

Hello alpinerover
I always thought it was the Italian national but it was a long time ago and i didnt speak Italian then!
I am in (or near) Montefortino, Marche permanently. Well almost.
I must look on the cup and see who gave it to me!
Give me a call if you are ever this way and we can see a few back roads (or the inside of the local bar).
I also have plenty of bits available.
