CIAO

Post by Alpinerover » Tue Oct 16, 2012 2:47 pm

Hello to you all,
my name is Mandy, some of you may know me as one of the Alpine Rovers.com team.
We specialise in Series vehicles and lead our tours with a selection of series 2a's and 3's.
We have just recently added a new vehicle to our fleet , a 1964 109 which we are currently converting into a camper.
In the mountains , we love to travel with our soft top sides rolled up but we have to carry fire wood for our clients night time enjoyment.
SO, this new vehicle will be able to do both... yes a hard/soft top camper.
If you are interested i will post a report and pics of the project during the rebuild.
In the mean time i look forward to reading with interest about your vehicles and your travels.
Regards
Mandy

Hi Mandy,

Thanks for joining - we'd love to know more about your dual purpose camper - it sounds very interesting.

I've had a look at your site - it looks like just the sort of thing some of us are interested in. I particularly like the idea of one price per vehicle up to 6 passengers

I'm looking forward to seeing your report and pics in our Member's Motors section.

Cheers,
Robin.

Thankyou Robin for your welcome.
I dont want you or any one to think that my company is the reason for me joining your forum .
my interest in Series and camping is WHY i formed the company , and i am more than happy to discuss what we do if indeed there is an interest from forum members.
I'll go into the members motors section now and try and show you some of the fleet

Hi Mandy. :hello: Welcome to the forum, and good luck with the 109 restoration. I am delighted to have someone from Alpine Rovers to moan at, so brace yourself!

I hope the person working on the Landie isn’t the same one who did your web-site! The mistakes in your French destinations don’t exactly fill one with confidence!

Alpes Provenciales The correct spelling would be ‘Alpes Provençales’, but the French usually refer to them as ‘Les Alpes-De-Haut-Provence’, and nearer the coast, ‘Les Alpes-Maritimes’.
Bourgongne “A little known and often overlooked region” I’m not surprised!! I think you mean Bourgogne! :thud:

Thankyou FlyingGant for pointing that out, i WILL speak to our webmaster but rest assured that our skills and on the ground knowledge are MUCH better than the webmasters spelling.
We have had MANY satisfied clients over the 20 years we have been driving and camping in the area and a good working relationship with the locals.
Where abouts are you?
Regards
Mandy.

"EAD" the station wagon one, just needs my "Dormobile" roof on it and I can use it to take the kids out and about.

Did the green “K” reg one have a snow plough on it in the past?

yes it did . it spent all of its life ( till it came to us) on the Swiss mountain slopes.
Ed has now sadly been sold .. he now lives in Berlin and went for 8,000 Euros, not bad for a £ 700 shed from Wales i regret selling him but I got Cancer and we needed the money , i'm over it now and hence why "B" the new camper has been purchased.
