The problem with Yahoo is that once a group has been closed that is it. I said I had about 6 years experience of running Yahoo groups.. I told a lie, though it was unintentional. It's a bit more than 6 years. I started up a Doctor Who fan group back in 2004 when exactly the same thing happened with a similar themed group was pulled by the then owner. He had asked for help to run the group, I offered and he just pulled the plug So I managed to e-mail as many of the members as I had corresponded with and asked them if they wanted to try making a go of another group.

The problem starts when there is just one owner. If you have more than one owner then there is somebody to carry on the reigns. It's the way Yahoo Groups works and doesn't matter how many moderators there are it's owners that matter.

If I thought there was enough interest I would try starting a new Yahoo group myself. It's easy enough after all..
