G'day jonny 72, you nearly gave me a heart attack, in fact i laughed so much i nearly didn't make it to the loo  .

To be honest i guess it was my mistake in the way i talk and refer to my young lady as my lass  , although i must say it put me in her good book's by referring to her as a young lady Janie is my soul mate not my Daughter.

Sorry i don't mean to embarrass you and to make thing's easier for you, NO i didn't make it to the loo on time either, i laughed so much i ended up with  :shakehead: but i will leave you with the thought's of what happened but i am sat here in my dressing gown

I've just been looking at the Wing Hall website (decidedly retro appearance!) and couldn't see a proper tariff anywhere, so I experimented with logging a booking as a sort of dummy run, to see if it came up with a price. I doesn't appear to produce a tariff as such, just quotes £20 as a deposit to be deducted when you make the booking. It may be a case of emailing them directly to see what they come up with.

Hello Dieselhen,

I think in principle, costs are Adults £9.50 (each), Children £5.00 (each), but there are standard fees associated with campervans / caravans of £20/night or £40/night if they have an electric hook-up. But, as the Land Rover campers will be in the Rally field, I’m sure the per adult / per child rate will apply.

We’ve had a really strong response on the bookings so far with 90 people booked in 50 Land Rovers (plus a few other assorted vehicles). There’s till plenty of space reserved in ‘Carawagon Corner / Dormobile Dell’...

I’ve been checking out several green-lanes (and refreshment venues) over recent weeks. Great fun!

Is there oppertunity to just visit for the day? We are going soon after the rally on holliday to Spain and France through the perynees, so can't get extra time off in the hols. But we might drop in on the Saturday with the now imfamous Dora (see LRO March issue). We live fairly local.

Hi Michiel,

Yes of course - day-trippers are welcome.

We’ll be finalising the itinerary nearer the time, but it’s likely we’ll be convoying over to the Nene Valley Railway on the Saturday morning. (NVR have offered to reserve a field just for the Classic Land Rovers (50 bookings received so far) and have offered discounted train rides / behind the scenes Engine Shed visits.)

We can discuss further if you’ll be at the Classic Run to Veurne this year. John

Great support from the Classic Land Rover Community. We’ve received registrations for the following so far:

4 Dormobiles
7 Carawagons
1 101
1 Ambulance

87 Land Rovers booked in - just a few weeks planning to go...

Sounds great John,

I haven't decided which day I'll be arriving yet, but will see you there at some point :tiphat:

Cheers,
Robin.
