Hi There,
Some of you may already "know" the vehicle.
John Horne had the centre bulkhead partially cut out to allow a full length bed run down the passenger side.
I acquired "Panda" (as named by my granddaughter because it's black & white) earlier this year with the aim to make it to the S2C International Rally in Cumbria. The trip was very successful, driven carefully I can make 32 mpg.
The engine is burning a little oil and as I have a brand new 2¼ litre diesel sat on a pallet it seems rude not to swap it over. This engine going into my '59er project utility after some head work.
The first shows John inspecting the Panda.
The other pics show the inside.
I have improved on the original bed base and fitted a table flap behind the driver.
Both panels can hinge up, or be removed totally, to return to full load (to the tip) capacity.
I plan to fit a 2nd (leisure) battery & charging system and some solar panels so I can run a fridge and other gadgets.
For me it works very well and is very cosy
Panda camper

Hi Alan,
Yes, we knew that one as John's "stealth camper".
Some very useful mods there
Cheers,
Robin.

G'day Alan, you are correct in saying that looks cosy and sometimes i wish i could just do things a tad straight forward like that , even when younger and with my Busmar double adult side car i liked my home comforts when what people now call wild camping.
Catch you later. R-Rose .
