Gooday from Melbourne, Australia!

Hi all,

Thanks for allowing me to become a part of this forum.

I have a bit of a Land Rover passion, owning a 1996 Discovery, a 1985 110 County and a 1963 Series 2a 109" Carawagon Hardtop, and am a member of the Land Rover Owners Club of Victoria.

The Carawagon has only just come into my possession after being stuck in a back yard for the last ten years following the passing of its previous owner. I will post pics of it in another area on this forum.

I look forward to meeting like minded people here, and showing the progression of the restoration of my Carawagon once it is commenced.

Hi, and Welcome :hello:

As Patrick says, we are looking forward to seeing more of your Carawagon.

Is the interior still original, as far as you know? It would be interesting to see what height the worktop is on a hardtop Carawagon.

There was a Carawagon on ebay over here with lower cupboard and worktop, and although that had a lifting roof we did wonder if it was originally a hardtop and the lifting roof fitted later

Cheers,
Robin.

That's what you call a real bull bar,or as the l/r is in
Australia I presume it is a Roo bar.Unusually no lifting
roof, there can not have been many built with out this
fitted. As Robin says " It's easier to stand up to put your
trousers on"

Would like to see pictures of the interior.

Regards

Phillip :tiphat:

The interior is pretty much all there and relatively intact. The cupboard is full height, not leaving much room on the work space on top.

More storage though as the hard top has elasticised pockets running the length of the roof on both sides.

I am 5'7" and there is just enough headroom when you are sitting on the rear seat.
