My solution has always been to find a whin bush and get the spade!!!

Overnight, when you really can't be bothered, it is a classic enamel Po with a biodegradable plasic bag and biodegradable toilet paper. Captured, biological wipe-clean, fresh bag in for the next emergency, dangle out of rear door until morning....

The general consensus on this thread has been that standards really do differ between the sexes and that it is catering for the fairer sex that is exercising Dan's cerebral regions.

Must be my age, but I can't recall any women of my aquaintance who would jump at the chance of performing such functions in a pastic bag, let alone utilising a shovel or spade and a bush.

Not even australians

My better half won't use a portapotti in the vehicle by choice either - the fairer sex seems to like their privacy
She did use it in Morocco a couple of times on the road, with everyone else away from the vehicle and in secret with the curtains shut, but every camp we set up the toilet tent went up.

The quick & easy answer has to be, as I first posted, an instant pop-up toilet/shower tent and porta-potti

Alex has hit the nail on the head, it is A. Not about me and B. Also required for using the Aires in France. This is what I am going to do. I am going to sacrifice some of the wardrobe space and create a middle compartment that will hold a porta-potti. This will pull out over the Wardrobe seat to provide a decent height of toilet for use in the Van. The wardrobe needs work anyway and I am going to carry most of our luggage in locker on the roof rack (lockable).
