G'day chaps, seeing that oven and the comment about a roasted dinner reminded me of many a camping trip in my ambulance with my lass and two St Bernards and on more than one occasion we would be sat out in my home made awning doing just that having just cooked a large meal sat down

and chilling out

while people walked past looking quite envious at us while chewing on a burger

.
Good memories soon to be fulfilled again

. Catch you later. R-Rose

That one looks almost exactly like the one fitted to the back door of Patrick's Carawagon (1972) , even down to the hammered enamel colour!
The lid is fixed to the door and the main unit drops down, supported by the lid and a spacer bar along the back edge.
It's held up when not in use by a couple of toggle catches.

Anyone thinking of bidding on this as I may if it doesn't go too daft, but what do they normally sell for? If someone else wants it, let me know and I will not bid.
My carawagon has the gas bottle holder in the normal place and the hole for the gas pipe, but the cooker is long gone.
Cheers Mick

I've seen a few go on eBay over the last year or so Mick - they seem to average around £20 to £40.
They were used in all sorts of 1960-1970 campers & caravans so not that rare, I think
I'm ok with ours so won't be bidding
Cheers,
Robin.

I'm going to have a proper look at the options once mine is nearer being on the road so not going to get anything else for a bit. Still thinking a Colemans
http://www.outdoormegastore.co.uk/colem ... tAodVysA6w might be an easier option as I don't have to then buy & carry gas bottle(s).
