Leafers at t'Pit 2019
Just announced by the LATP team that the new location for the Leafers at t'Pit show will be the Apedale Valley Light Railway, Loomer Rd, Chesterton, Newcastle-under-Lyme ST5 7LB, over the August Bank Holiday as usual.
There's still a pit there, so no change of event name
I'm sure it will be closer for some folk, but further away for others.... Hmmm... gone from 9 miles to 95 miles for me
Looks like a good site though, so should be a winner, I hope.
Cheers,
Robin.

Aww it's gone from 8.5 miles to 75 for us if we go over the tops via Glossop.

12 miles shorter if I go over t'top - but it will probably depend on my mood on the day.
Being high geared with 3.54 diffs & overdrive, I might take the lazy way and draught lorries on the M62 & M6 at 56mph.
If I'm in the mood for hills & lots of gear-changing I'll go via the Peak district. It would add about 40 minutes to the journey, but more chances for stopping and admiring the scenery

I still have standard diffs so quite happy to go over the tops, may even have a few photo stops on way over.

Let's give it our best shot.
It'll be as good as the effort we the people put in.
The organising team work really hard to set the opportunity up for us.
I'm confident it will be just as good but maybe a little different.
There may be more Muggles wanting hats.

Hope we can make it next year.
It's closer for us than the old venue.
