Military Commanders Carawagon

Post by Lardrover » Fri Jun 22, 2012 10:27 pm

Evening all
Apologies for not getting stuck in here earlier. I first heard of LRCC whilst sampling a diabetes inducing Morrocan Tea Ceremony at Ripon.
The same group of reprobates made me most welcome at LATP, this time with their innovative system for purging mosquitoes and midges. The military carawagon no longer attracts comments about how all military vehicles smell the same, webbing and EP90. Now it smells like a herring factory.
Unfortunately, the Commanders Carawagon is destined for a new custodian as it goes to live in Suffolk sometime September but it may come back here for a holiday every now and then. In the meantime, I want to resurrect my military SIIa with the roof and sides off another military Carawagon I have in storage. Tax exempt status is the main reason for this, add to that a 200 or 300 tdi conversion. I've not sourced an engine yet but would prefer to have a complete Discovery as a donor.

Looking forward to cracking on with this project, encouraged by all the conversions I've seen so far. If you see me around, come and say hello, I'm the NATO green one. Sometimes I'm pink as well.

Hi Wayne,

Welcome, from one of the reprobates :neener:

Yes, I think all our Carawagons and contents smell of smoke - even stored with windows & vents open, you can still smell it weeks later. Must remember to shut the back doors at shows - that will help!

Hope to see you at more shows, either in green or pink :tiphat:

Cheers,
Robin.
