Dormobile canvas repair patches

Post by moogling » Sat Jun 10, 2017 12:17 pm

Ive got some old used dormy canvas to patch up my working canvas.
Should the patches preferably be inside or outside or both?

I was going to use pvc pipe cement - is this appropriate?

Or is a tube of the pvc solvent cement like i used to accidentally melt airfix with better?
Cheers!

Stuff called Aquasure is pretty good for dealing with small holes - not sure how it behaves for patches though. It's a "urethane Repair Adhesive & sealant" and according to the blurb "flexible repair adhesive for waders, umbrellas, bivvies, etc." - current tube cost £7.99 from the outdoor shop in Killin. We used it a few times on our original dormobile.

That sounds like top stuff for some of the pinholes. Thankyou.
