Outdoor supplier

Post by Stuey » Tue May 17, 2016 11:20 am

Hi all,
blatant plug for our business!

Since leaving the forces (over 2 years ago now) we've set up a business called The Kit Monkey, we are mainly selling to the Military / Bushcraft demographic, however there might be some stuff that you guys are interested in, probably the best way is to let you know about some of the brands we do:

Beyond the beaten track [Military ration packs]
BCB [Outdoors / survival]
Feuerhand [Hurricane lanterns]
Helikon-Tex [outdoor clothing]
Highlander [outdoors]
Jetboil [cookers]
Maglite [Torches]
Petromax [German pressure lanterns]
Snugpak [sleeping bags / outdoor clothing]
Trangia [cooking]
Tilley [British pressure lanterns]
Wildo [Sporks]

We might not have the full range from a particular manufacturer, due to not having enough room / not that much demand. But if there is something that you want in particular, give us a shout and we might be able to help out.

We are currently selling between our own website http://thekitmonkey.co.uk/webshop/ and eBay http://stores.ebay.co.uk/thekitmonkey/ Some stuff is solely on eBay and other stuff is solely on the webite and some bits are on both.

If you buy off our website, we can give you 10% off with a code, use LRCC at the checkout.

If you want to drop me an email to see if we can get anything for you, our email is sales@thekitmonkey.co.uk

Regards

Stu

Hi Stuey.

Sounds good.

I'm interested in the rat packs.

I will have a look on the site.

Hi Stu,

A lot of stuff on there which will be of interest to many of us, I'm sure.

I'll probably relieve you of a few bungees at least, the next time I see you - no hurry so no point in mailing

Cheers,
Robin.

Hi Matt,
we get the ration packs from the MoD supplier and they are exactly the same as the MoD issued ones, just in a plain box that is not marked "For MOD use only". That way there is traceability and accountability, as anybody who has served knows that official MoD ration packs are not officially released onto the civilian market.

HI Stuey

I had already seen your stuff on ebay. Didn't realise it was you. All the best for the new business. It is a cut throat market, with some sellers giving stuff away. I wish you every success.

Cheers Mick.

For those going to the LRO Peterborough show this month, Stu is willing to bring stuff folk have ordered from his website The Kit Monkey

He won't be running a stall, but you can take advantage of 'free postage' and order to collect at the show :gold:

Cheers,
Robin.
