Somebody was asking about the wing pods a while ago...this has a nice example of them.

The link in the ebay description has hundreds of photos of it too: https://www.flickr.com/photos/55027262@ ... 6042577381

I'll add it to the camper register, in case it crops up again. Do vehicles change their registration plates when sold in America? If it changes state?

Thanks,
Patrick

Wow, that looks like a lot of work, but worth it to keep another rare vehicle from the scrapheap, and we know of much worse examples which have been finished to a high standard.
AlexB restored one in a similar state HERE and Mick's was found with a tree growing through it!!

3 bids at the moment, so it looks like someone over there is willing to have a go

Yes, it was Brad who was thinking about making twin wing-top pods, and Jock in Perth who has some single ones - see THIS THREAD.

Cheers,
Robin.

The registration number is state-by-state so if the vehicle is moved to another state and is registered there, it will get a new number. What doesn't change of course, is the chassis number and that is what identifies the vehicle. So your insurance certificate will show the chassis number instead of the reg. number. I changed my registration last year because California have started re-issuing yellow-on-black plates which are correct for my 1962 Dormie. I currently have 4 different plates - UK, Washington State, California new style reflective blue-on-white and California old style.

Thanks Ian, I've put it here: http://www.rms1.co.uk/lrcc/forum/viewto ... =21&t=1113 just so when the ebay link expires we'll still have all the details and hopefully the search function will pick it up if/when this vehicle surfaces again!
