Dormobile single (passenger) front seat
Dormobile single (passenger) front seat
This might well be aimed at Jerry, but help from anyone gratefully received!
My series three dormobile has had some interesting PO bodges, including, it seems, welding brackets onto the side of the passenger seat to stop them reclining!
When I find the camera, I will post details for discussion.
In the meantime, i would be grateful for pics of the "standard" single passenger front seat "mechanics" and operating method.
Thanks
Alex

Re: Dormobile single (passenger) front seat
No brackets - just welded the sides together.
Did it because the catch at the front is knackered / missing and the seat would whizz backwards if you leant agin it.
Need a catch mechanism now....
At least it is like the double bench seat on the other dormobile

Re: Dormobile single (passenger) front seat
Hi Alex,
Sorry about the delay but it slipped my mind
I've just looked at the front seat and it appears very similar to the rear seats, apart from the mechanism for flipping the seat over. Unfortunately I can't get mine to go in the bed position as it seems seized up somewhere. I've oiled all the parts so will try again tonight.
Meanwhile here's a few pics, let me know if you need anymore detailed shots

Re: Dormobile single (passenger) front seat
Hope the pics were of some use Alex , I haven't been able to get my seat to lay flat and I can't figure out why not Maybe I should start to dismantle it piece by piece and hopefully find the fault.
Maybe I should just put it back in the shed
Is your seat older than mine ?? was it made by a different company ?? Who knows
