Billing LR show, 30th July-2nd Aug
Hi guys,
I need to finalise passes for the Billing show this week.
Could anyone who has asked for passes please let me know if you are still attending, please?
I think we might still have a pass available, so if you want to go on the list, please PM me as soon as possible.
Cheers,
Robin.

Re: Billing LR show, 30th July-2nd Aug
Well, that's another show out of the way
A little disappointing as the organisers only give out 5 passes for the show stands now, and unfortunately we had one attendee who tried to get there but didn't make it due to a breakdown, and another who only managed one day due to a car accident earlier in the week.
That meant for two days of out of the three we had only 3 vehicles on the stand so it looked a little bare
We made the best of it though, and the important part of the shows, the 'after public' firepit action went well, with the S2C members as well as a couple of others joining us around the firepit in the evenings.
So, thanks to Mark & Cat with and little Pete for bringing their very blue Marshall Ambulance camper, Sophie and Gino who drove from Germany with their Marshall Ambulance camper, and Michiel & Hanneke for bringing their Dormobile
Cheers,
Robin.

Even tho we could only manage 1 day out of the 3, we had a fab time.
Hopefully next year we no accidents or other emergencies and can attend all 3 days. After all, it is a home game for us.
But we are making progress... Last year it was just the Dormobile that could attend, this year we could join for the day. So hopefully next year.....
Thanks to Rob to get it all organised.

Re: Billing LR show, 30th July-2nd Aug
G'day chaps, having been a long time visitor to Billing over the years until the big storm a good few years ago this is where we had our annual holiday but sadly all good things come to an end and the coilers started to take over along with some undesirables who made it not a nice place to visit.
I really missed the masses of series vehicles blocking the roads from the motorway to the site spending the days sat in my chair watching the series motors trundle round was my entertainment along with meeting others that had the same things in mind.
Less series was the end for me greed from the new owners show promoters and the above undesirables but from what i gather from the campers of the series two club and of course Robins LRCC things were a lot better and i got excited anyway .
Marty my good friend took me down for the day to pick up a lathe although i wanted to pick up an axle his little Corsa i think would not have managed it but what a day we had all thanks to Robin and the LRCC also the series two club next door which made our day a very good one.
As for the jumble Marty and i on the ground found loads of new old stock trinkets and of course some odd ball stuff that was along the lines of what i love to dig up but sadly time soon moved on and my taxi driver Marty started to show a good bit of sun burn and tiredness so we set off home.
After two days of rest i am nearly back to normal but our day was well worth the hassle of getting up at five to make sure we got there in good time so my thanks go to those that made our day a good one again .
Catch you later. R-Rose

Re: Billing LR show, 30th July-2nd Aug
G'day chaps, Robin has spoken for me and i would not miss it no matter what else was offered and i have been trying to work as fast as i can to get my 88 how i would like it but unfortunately i am slow in fact i work so slow it's not the first time i have woke up underneath it yep and banged my head on the box .
I had a friend come round for a but having made a nicely shaped patch and all cleaned down ready and stick welder awaiting his delicate touch i now have a patch fitted nice and neat primed undercoated and a couple of top coats ready for wax oiling in the morning.
Rear flexy to change adjust the brakes up and bleed wire in the number plate lights another coat of paint on the rear cat flap bleed the double matrix heater and fit the grill i know it does not sound a lot but she runs like a sewing machine so a trundle to the MOT station hopefully will be sooner rather than later so i can get back to making detours on route because i have a habit of getting lost .

Be good to see you there again Brad ....You should try camping at T'pit itself one year ...there is a real nice evening vibe around the campfire with folks relaxing and telling a tale or several .
Some folks reckon it's the best bit lol ...you'd always be welcome .
