Hi all,
Just joined and looking for a camper.
I have been looking for a while but not made any decisions. Just wondering if the dormobile bunks are comfortable and how big are they. I am just over 6 feet tall and about 15.5 stone, will I fit and will they collapse ?
Thanks Kevin

Dan is a big lad and he sleeps in them

Think you'll fit, but whether they'll hold the weight is less certain. In good condition they should do. Suspect the ones in mine (in pieces) would struggle with a toddler....

Re: Dormobile bunk beds
We had the same dilemma in the Carawagons; the bunks are adult size, but the material is 40+ years old!
In Patrick's Carawagon we re-made one of the bunks using the canvas from an ex-army camp bed to make sure it was strong enough.
I think there's at least one member on here who has re-made his Dormobile bunks with later materials for the same reason.
Cheers,
Robin.

Re: Dormobile bunk beds
I'm 6ft 2in and 190lbs (what's that in new money?) and sleep comfortably on my Dormobile bunk bed. I did replace the bunk bed material but had no problem with the previous tartan patterned material which rather reminded me of a deckchair on the promenade at Blackpool from the days of my miss-spent youth. I only replaced it because it had a split in it. Not because it reminded me of Blackpool.
Cheers,
Ian
