Hi All, just returned from Billing where we met Robin and Patrick, both were really friendly and a mind of useful info as we are about to embark on the restoration of Carol the carawagon.
Carol is a 1972 series 111 109 carawagon in need of a bit of tlc!
She does start - did move just - needs welding and a roof resto but is fairly complete and has a 200 tdi fitted
Hopefully over the coming months(years!) we can share our ups and downs and benefit from all your advise and tips

Hopefully you can see some pics if I can work out how to do it!
Thought you needed some welsh blood on the forum!

Welcome to the forum, it was good to meet you at Billing. Hopefully Carol will be on the road and taking the whole family out and about soon!
If you have problems with adding photos then there's a guide here: http://www.rms1.co.uk/lrcc/forum/viewto ... ?f=15&t=23 which may help.
I'm sure everybody is looking forward to seeing her!
cheers,
Patrick

Hi Three,
Where abouts are you in Wales? We moved from Glynneath to Kettering a bit over two years ago, due to a family crisis.
There was a S3 109 hardtop lying dying on a farm near Seven Sisters, and a useful bloke with a Jap SUV and trailer in Ystradgynlais in the Swansea Valley. He charged £300 to collect The Aunt from Glynneath, take it to Ystradgynlais (20 miles the wrong way) store it in his yard for a few days, then deliver it to Kettering (about 200 miles) PLUS letting me borrow his TOWAVAN van trailer for three days, for me to bring more clutter to Kettering.
He also does self drive trailer hire ... various types.
