My scout leader gave me an old hurricane lamp when he moved away that I never managed to get winding properly, couldn't work out why. I also have a fairly extensive collection of paraffin stoves that are in varying states of order, though that reminds me, I needed to get some new lead packing and a few bits for one...

A few years ago I was glad of having a bit of old tech, as after we'd camped in an igloo all night, the gas was too cold to work. Out came the OO from the bottom of the bag, much to the surprise of the leader, and boom, tea :gold: .

Haven't been on there in a LONG time but signed up a good few years ago! got quite a few old stoves too (in fact, lots of vintage camping equipment in general!)
