Post by Stuey » Mon May 05, 2014 10:35 am

I was mentioning it yesterday at Ripon, it's a hive of information if you're into that sort of thing (Pete)

Anyway it's here http://www.classicpressurelamps.com/forum/index.php?

Thanks Stu

Could you also post any suppliers of parts you know of, please?
I know Base Camp is probably the main supplier for older stuff, but you did mention an ebay shop or seller

Cheers,
Robin.

PS. I bet we could get at least 15-20 pressure lamps going at a show between our members if we were really that sad

Good point Robin

For Coleman consumables (mantles, generators etc) I use a gentleman on eBay called MCSCOTT2005 Ebay link here

For seals and other good stuff like that, I've started using somebody off of the CPL website called Fettle box, they seem reasonably priced and they give a 10% discount to CPL members Fettle box link

I've just picked a few off of the Car boot sale this morning, a Hipolito, an Anchor brand and a Coleman Northstar. They're going to have to sit around before I have a play as I'm busy for the rest of the day

Just acquired a new globe for my M320... Would like to get an enamel hood for either that or my 300X too...

Calum, I'm sure the 300's and 300x's weren't enamelled (well none of mine are!)

Most of the other W&B ones are, 305 upwards so to speak but there not that uncommon so to speak.

Found out how to pre-heat the Hipolito earlier, looks interesting :nana1:

Pretty sure all the hoods are interchangeable on the W&B lamps, but I've never had a hood to compare

Hi all

Stuey put a link to http://www.hurricanelamps.co.uk, which takes you to http://www.paraffinlamps.co.uk/. He is my Mother-in-law's next door neighbour and has a vast stock of spares. He supplied the replacement glass for my Canadian made Coleman lamp, which are diffrent and not commonly available. He is to lamps what we are to Land Rovers. Hard to find anywhere to sit down for lamps and boxes of spare parts.

If your not in a rush, I can collect on our trips own to Stalham.

Cheers Mick
