We woke up one day and decided that a wander was in order, the dogs went on holiday. The motor got packed
and off we drove, we stopped off on route for something sweet:
and then we headed south until the land ran out
We got onto a boat, which was made of metal and it carried automobiles to lands far away
The boat sailed across the see for many an hour, o'er night and day. Then all of a sudden land was spied from afar,
The boat stopped at this land, and it was good:
We drove for many an hour and decided to find a place to lay our weary heads. When we awoke from our fine slumber, the sight to be seen when we awoke was inspiring:
We travelled further on into the land of the Spaniard, who did not seem to be Spaniards as they speak with a different tongue:
We ventured off over the clouds:
And we saw what was to come:
And we saw plenty of warning signs in the land of the Spaniard, which we paid no attention to as being leafers we are beyond the signs:
And then the time come to rest:
There were funny villages on hills
But there was nothing behind us, which was good:
But in front of us, there was the hills that had to be climbed:
The sign pointed somewhere, but we didn't know where:
However we drove past this place, which surely must be the land of the King:
We travelled on from the land of the King, and we saw brothers of the leafsprung kind:
And before we left the land of the Spaniard, we made sure we were rested and well hydrated:
After resting for a Coffee, we travelled towards the land where they think that strange things like frogs leg's should be eaten, it's somewhere behind these hills:
Which there were lots of:

Then a magical man on only a 2 wheeled chariot passed us:
But it was not long until we were in the land of Garlic and Beret's:
Then we appeared to go down a hill for a bit:
But not for long:
Then the top was sighted:
Some giant's had parked their bikes on the hill:
Then it was down hill!
And when we got down the hill, we made camp for a couple of nights:
We ended up staying for a couple of nights in the places where miracles happen, in which one did, until Mrs Stuey realised she had slept in her contact lenses!
We have now moved on from that place and are mid country at La Maison mon Papa.
After having a few days at mon Papa's, it was decided that the time had come to move on. Now all we did was drive to Calais after Brittany ferries decided that they would be very French and have a strike. BTW it was the only time that we had hiccups (both within a couple of hours of each other)
The stereo, funnily enough it only got played for about an hour in the whole trip!

Trying to fix the overdrive, the overdrive pin had decided to fall out whilst still engaged. Ended up leaving it engaged in the end:

In a nutshell the legs of the journey went like this:
Worksop - Portsmouth
Portsmouth - Santander (1 x overnight on Ferry)
Santander - San Sebastian (1 x overnight San Sebastian)
San Sebastian - Lourdes (Over the top Scenic route via Sabiñánigo) (2 x overnight Lourdes)
Lourdes - Chef-Boutonne (Deux-Sevres) (Several overnights at Dads)
Chef-Boutonne - Orignally Caen HoweverDue to strikes had to be:
Chef-Boutonne - Rouen (Overnight at Rouen)
Rouen - Calais
Calais - Dover
Dover - Worksop
Overall covered aprox 1600 miles, only faults were: Overdrive pin dropping out, and a flat tyre.
Most enjoyable journey and for next time I shall make use of the roofrack, I removed to save money on the ferry and wish I hadn't as when you wanted to stop at the side of the road for a brew it was a right royal pain to get to the brew kit / chairs!
