Dormobile roof window seals

Post by AlexB » Mon Feb 18, 2013 12:22 pm

I am sure there was a post regarding Dormobile window seals and the possiblility to have 2 different thicknesses of glass but being supplied with a "standard" thickness from Dormobile

I have just checked and found, of course, that I have thinner glass than the seal is.

Can't find the previous reference to see what the solution was asnd what, if anything, Dormobile did about it

Any clues please?

thanks

Alex,

Sadly, if you have the thinner glass but seals for 3/16" glass then you have 2 choices - new seals or new glass. Because I'm in southern California, I opted for new glass rather than seals as it was quicker. And if you are going to fit the seals yourself, don't forget the special tool - you won't be able to insert the filler strip without it. :shakehead:
