Camping maybe, but not Newark. Email from the organisers today.
Cancellation of Newark Vintage Tractor & Heritage Show
7th and 8th November 2020
After careful consideration, the Newark and Nottinghamshire Agricultural Society (NNAS) have announced the cancellation of The Newark Vintage Tractor & Heritage Show, due to take place on 7th and 8th November 2020, at Newark Showground.
The decision was a unanimous recommendation by the Show’s Advisory Committee due to the ongoing uncertainty relating to the Coronavirus pandemic, the extent of necessary social distancing measures and the difficulty in maintaining them at an event that is social by nature. The NNAS have also received feedback from Vintage Tractor Clubs that many members had mothballed their entries for 2020 and despite the genuine desire to support the Show, the practicalities to attend were challenging. From the Society’s perspective, the main priority continues to be supporting its charitable objectives whilst maintaining the safety of visitors, exhibitors, volunteers and staff members.
Chair of the Show Advisory Committee and NNAS Chairman, Roger Jackson comments, “We are of course incredibly disappointed as the event is such a social, well supported show with entries, competitors, visitors and Vintage Tractor Clubs from all over the UK and Europe who make a special journey every November to Newark to display and showcase their equipment and see one of the biggest and best collections of vintage agricultural equipment in the country. A sad loss to the 2020 calendar.”
The show’s organisers thank the committee, volunteers and supporters of the show for their continued enthusiasm and look forward to welcoming everyone back to next year’s show on 13th and 14th November 2021. They also ask people to keep an eye on the website www.newarkvintagetractorshow.com for more information regarding the themes and entries for 2021.

I think I just booked in. Let's see how many comments I get from the scrutineer this year if we're fixing anything when they're walking round.....
