Carawagon roof supports

Post by JohnnoP » Sat Aug 31, 2019 7:37 am

The internal supports for when the roof is down is a different setup than a mates.
They line up to the Perspex alpine windows which doesn’t make any kind of sense.
They look to be original by the looks of the trims but I can’t see how this can work correctly.

Yes, all of mine sit at the top of the window!

There are two versions that I know of - a wider 'support in the middle, and the two narrower ones like yours, but all support the window rather than the roof.

There should be a rubber seal/trim stuck to the supports, for the window to rest against.

Incidentally, there were also some roofs with glass, rather than perspex - the ones in my Carawagons are a mixture.

It would be interesting to see your mate's setup, if you can post a picture, please?

Cheers,
Robin.

I have the same windows and my supports also rest on the window (perspex). I have two supports each side, mine are made of wood however.
