Well, the deadline for entries for this year's Peterborough LRO show is in a couple of days, and again, no interest shown
Perhaps we need to reevaluate whether we even apply for these next year?
This year we have had very little interest shown in attending the 'big' shows, Driffield Spring Adventure, Kelmarsh LR Show and Peterborough LRO Show.
It could be the cost, or perhaps folk are just not interested in these shows any more - they do have less and less Series content as the years roll on.
Opinions, please - if we don't have the members who want to attend, it's not worth me jumping through hoops to apply in the first place
Robin.

Re: Live Promotion Shows
Hi Robin,
Having only been a day visitor to Peterborough about 6-7 years ago and hearing about the lack of Series stuff in the various comments, then seeing the pics from the smaller shows I'd tend to want to go to the smaller ones. Add in paying to display to then attract punters to a profit making event and I'll definitely stick to the smaller ones: I don't mind paying a sensible fee to display if it's for a charity eg Doncaster.
Not an easy one: how are the S2C coping with the changes? Or does the club insurance avoid some of it?
Cheers,
Rob

Re: Live Promotion Shows
Hi Rob,
Yes, the S2C has insurance to cover any/all of their events/displays, so they just have the £10 per vehicle to pay at the LP shows.
Even then, their attendee numbers were dwindling even before the charge, so if anyone is a member and has a S2/A camper and wants to attend, it might be worth contacting Frank, their shows officer, to see if you could be on their stand
Cheers,
Robin.
