Is yours an European version then, without the roof? Or was the roof lost over time?

Last night started stripping the roof of refurbishment

Interesting things I found so far are can't make my mind up if the door would have had a roof rack at frontal the wood not been shaped for it?
It has a flock head lining its in great condition but a strange colour.
The wooden tray mounted at the front, which I've guess it's a child's bed? Both my boys fit on it perfectly. It dose look quite in keeping with the rest of the roof any ideas if this is original?

The side and transportation mounts are the worth parts with the end planels seeming to be in good useable conditions
All the seal are missing or be replaced with intertube that been cut into lengths

Good to see you already started on the roof.
Looks in better condition that I originally thought.
But... ehhh... I didn't know you lived down under??? :neener: It's very uncomfortable looking at those pics standing on my head... :shakehead:

spent the last week cutting new support and front roof supports.

I managed to removed the front roof sections with out dismantling the long alu angle .
I cut the sections out of 18 mm Marine ply . I need to cut the groove in the supports for the seal.
I bought from B and Q there bugit router and found it worked pretty well for making the groove for the seal.
and then 2pack primed them and then sprayed them in limestone
This evening I rebuild the front end.
New hinges and side wood panels to make this week. Should be finished next weekend!

This afternoon/ evening I changed the drivers footwell . It had been poorly repaired in the past with a tota of three repair panels put over the top of the original. The more i cut away the less there was to save. I ended up cutting the inter panel out of and remaking it. After a couple of trial fits finally got it in and painted. I remade the stenghtener that supports the pedal boxes .

Looks like excellent progress!

The images are a bit odd though - if you click on them to view the original it's the right way up...I'll have a look when I get home tonight and see if there's something odd on the forum maybe

Looks like an Apple feature that's too clever for it's own good! Having done a bit of digging it looks like all the upside down photos were taken on an iPhone 6? and it's saved loads of extra data in the image, including this line: "Orientation Rotate: 180"
So when the forum generates preview images, it dutifully rotates them by 180 degrees! I'm guessing if you view it on an Apple device it ignores this (or rotates it by 180 again).

Not sure there's much I can do about it to be honest, but don't let it put you off posting them - people can click on the preview to see the original unadulterated photo anyway.
