my new carawagon

Post by dudley » Fri Feb 08, 2013 7:02 pm

a few pictures of my latest purchase

I have been looking for a long time, and
missed a few (one or two of which ended
at Wakefield Carawagon Incorperated)

A few jobs to do.I have collected the new
old style no,plates today and will fit them
tomorrow.need to make and fit a frame for
an awning.i will have to find a fridge, and
get the seat base in the rear re-stiched.

But all in good time

Fate is very strange this l/r has had the 1st
owner for 35 years and then his niece for
5 years, exactly the same owners and time
as my station wagon.

Cant wait for the shows to start

Phillip

Fantastic, Phillip, looks great

When you get a chance for more photos, some of the cabinet on the left (cooker?/fridge?) and the inside of the cupboards on the right would be appreciated, please.

Can't wait to see it in the flesh :tiphat:

Cheers,
Robin.

At a guess, I'd say some sort of shelf or perhaps, if your sink is in the worktop, a board to go over the sink

That's one of the great things about these vehicles - you never know what was original, optional, or a later DIY addition :stars:

I do notice that your cupboard doors are like Steve's, and are on sliders, which is different to mine where they are all hinged but removable.
I assume, like Steve's, only your middle door is removable (to make a table)?
On mine, you remove the door and it slots into guides inside the cupboard to make a table.

Cheers,
Robin.

Hi Trev,

Good to see you on t'internet again

I think Phillip's is the same as yours, isn't it, with formica covered sliding doors?

Have you had a look at our show list for this year HERE?
Just wondering which will be the first show we can get all the Carawagons together at :gold:

Cheers,
Robin.
