Mrs. Armitage

Post by gossamer » Wed Sep 30, 2015 7:19 pm

Today I sent off the documents for a second build date verification inspection for my 109 Marshall Ambulance.
I hope she will be able to trundle out with a number plate on soon.
She has MOT and insurance but no ID yet.

I am still without a reg number for Mrs Armitage.

I am waiting (patiently) for anoter inspection by the MVT to verify her age.

MOT and insurance tick away daily. Both due Aug 19th, I hope to have a drive in her before the next mot test.

THanks Robin, it just tells me its a series 2a, I need proof of age good enought for the dvla. I'm still waiting for the MVT to come and do another inspection for verification. It's four months since I got the ambi motd and insured.

Ah, didn't realise you wanted proof of age!

DVLA should accept proof either a dating letter from Gaydon HERE where the original records are kept, or from the Series 2 Club (Vehicle Registration Officer) if you're a paid up member.

I have heard of some folk using pages from the green bible which show ranges of serial numbers/years in the past, but I'm not sure that would work these days.

Hoper that helps,
Robin.

G'day Matt, i guess i was lucky with the ambulance that has or should i say is just waiting to go to it's new home because when that was fetched from Lichfield it was driven straight to the Tax office and a logged book taken from the top of the pile but i guess those days are long gone along with peoples jobs as well  .

Just keep your chin up matey as you will get there in the end but i guess this is modern day progress which we all know can be a pain even with an MOT as the computer is only as good as what has been put into it :banghead: .

Catch you later. Brad :tiphat:

Sproggle and I put the 74 plates on our 71 ambulance and went for a trundle.

Slow n thirsty are two words to describe the old girl but she probably wants a tune up, 3.5 diffs and 8.25 tyres, or a nitrous oxide kit.

The brakes are still new so Im in no hurry to make her too fast too soon.

Hope to make Shell Island in her in April.
