Ah, now that's different!

I suppose it could have been a prototype, but that roof looks like it might have been modified by a previous owner

Some more pictures, especially the roof arrangement, would be useful, after it arrives

Cheers,
Robin.

Hi,

That is different.Closed it almost looks
original, but open it is wider than the
landrover.Must feel very big inside,bigger
than a dormobile roof?

Would like to see pics of inside when it arrives.

Regards

It seems Blackie has problems connecting to the Internet from his location, so has emailed the following to be added to this thread:

Sorry to bother you again.
Signal stinks in the bush...
Sara's serial is 94400916B.
Lhd export only.
Was owned by.
Stephen Henry Hollier.
Clevedon.
North Somerset.
UK.

He drove her here via Africa.

Cara has original interior etc.
Roof bit is the Question on who/where and when....

Kind regards,
Blackie

Another update from Blackie

"Cara is finally home!!
And what a find she is.

Markings on the sides say
Trans-Asien 1970 and Trans-Afriks 1980.
Got some gibberish on front wing as well...
Me thinks this old girl has a big story to tell.
I'm still having probs with internet reception this end, but will keep you posted.

The local landy clan is definite that she's the only one in my part of the world.

That monstrosity above the cab roof is a stainless water tank. And the one upright with filter on is the snorkel.
Ingeniously done. The carb goes to a modified oilbath aircleaner, joined into similar stainless above wheel and ends up above roof as a snorkel.

I am sorry to bother you with the info, but glad to share.
Any info.... yes please.

Regards
Cara's dad"
